Project Name: Tustin / Rose Grade Separation Project, Anaheim, California Services: Pipeline Survey for Asbestos Containing Materials Client: Chevron Environmental Management Company
Padre completed asbestos-containing material (ACM) pipeline coating survey activities for the approximately 160 feet segment of previously abandoned 6-inch diameter steel pipeline between the Atwood Channel and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway that runs east/west south of Orangethorpe Avenue within Anaheim, Orange County, California. The ACM survey was conducted by Padre in support of the Tustin / Rose Grade Separation Project, to identify potential ACM that may require special handling, disposal, or personal protective measures and procedures during the course of the planned pipeline removal and disposal or recycling activities at the Project Site. Additionally, the survey was completed to comply with notification requirements in accordance with the U.S. EPA National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants regulations. The scope of work included completion of field work, laboratory analysis of material samples, evaluation of the bulk asbestos materials analysis results, and preparation of a report for the client detailing the procedures implemented as part of the survey, survey results, conclusions and recommendations.
Padre additionally completed an Asbestos Work Plan which was submitted to the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) and approved for the asbestos abatement and removal activities, in compliances the SCAQMD Procedure 5 protocols.
